And now for something completely different . . .

Ok, so maybe this isn't really different, but its my blog and I'll spin it if I want to . . . :-)

So I weigh myself every morning and every evening . . .

I know, thats not what your suppoed to do . . . but I am so mentaly into this process and the daily bouncing up and down doesn;t disturb me. What it does do is keep me informed of the 'trend' that my weight is following. I do the 'official' weigh-in at my monthly visit to the doctor's office, which I am comming up due on . . .

The folks at work are very supportive, asking after my condition, considering I had a foriegn body inserted into my belly last April, and giving me high-fives in the hallway with every drop!

To my sweetheartm Cheri, I give tremendous love and gratitude. Cheri has been, and continues to be, worried about me, and yet she does not 'nag' me when I seem to 'deviate' from the program, not that the band will let me do that a lot. I love you Cheri! (I knew I married her for a reason:-)

Now, for a cool story . . .

Last week Cheri and I needed to empty out our storage unit in Rockledge, which is about 30 miles south of where we live now. We got the storage unit when Cheri and her daughter, Jacqueline, moved in with me back in 2001. When we moved onto the farm in Mims, we bought a shed, initially for storage, but eventually to become a workshop. Well, in an effort to save money, and because it doesn't really make sense to have a storage unit when one, you live 30 miles away from the storage unit, and two, you have plenty of storage space at home. So Cheri and I nade araingements for some friends to join us at 11:00AM on Saturday, one of those friends with a truck, and with their assistance, and our two trucks, we would load up the unit and save ourselves a hundred dollars a month!

Cheri, Mary, and I got to the storage unit at 11:20AM and started loading up the trucks. Janet, our other friend with a truck, was running late but she was expected arounf 12:00 noon. Now this is where the story gets good . . . By the time Janet arrived, we had managed to clear out 4 fifths of the stuff in the unit, and fill my truck up. AS good as that was, thats not the best part . . . I had managed to move easily half of the items out myself. Something I would not have been able to do six months ago! I had more energy for this effort than I have had in a long time! Woohoo! (doing the snoopy dance!)

At that point, with my truck full and Cheri's truck begining to get loaded, I had to take a break, but not because I had no energy or strength, but because I was getting over-heated. It was awfully hot out that day, but sitting in the office airconditioning and wiping my face and neck with cool water, cooled me down right quick and I got back to work. We had everything packed up by 12:30 and we hit the road.

We managed to unload everything at the house and it all fit wonderfully in the shed, with about a third of the space still available for more stuff! (I mean, according to George Carlin, thats what houses are for right? A place to store your stuff!)

Well, now that I've made you read this far, I might as well tell you how I am doing weight wise . . .

As of this morning, my unofficial weight is . . . 370lbs.

Talk about WooHoo!!
